Teach English in Russia as a Paid Teacher-Intern Russia Full Time

Each year, Language Link offers a number of employment opportunities to non-TEFL certified applicants. Normally, this group is comprised of recent university graduates looking for both an international experience and the opportunity to develop skill as a teacher of English to speakers of other languages.

Unlike most internship programmes, Language Link offers its intern teachers both a salary and benefit package. Though the salary is somewhat less than that paid to a newly qualified EFL (English Foreign Language) Teacher, the benefit package is the same.

Due to the popularity of Language Link’s Teacher Internship Training Programme, dozens of applications are received annually. Regardless of the number of applications received, all are processed according to a number of criteria such as the applicant’s ability to commit to a nine-month teaching contract, offered on completion of the initial four-week training programme, and the ability to complete the academic programme requirements.

Requirements: Most internship training programmes are geared to applicants between the ages of 20 and 30. Language Link’s teacher training internship programme is no different. Therefore, older applicants may not find the programme suitable for them. Additionally, teaching English as a foreign language is often regarded as a pre-career option rather than a viable change of career choice. If you are an older applicant and you are seriously considering TEFL as a change of career choice, you might be better advised to complete a teacher training certificate programme prior to seeking employment.

Programme description: The Language Link Teacher Internship Training Programme is a nine-month teaching programme. The programme starts with the intern teacher (referred to as trainee teacher) attending a mandatory four-week Initial Training Programme (ITP) where s/he will be introduced to the essentials of teaching English as a foreign language. For information on course content and schedule please visit http://www.jobs.languagelink.ru/jobs/internships/programme_overview.php. Though the four-week ITP is run free of charge by Language Link, trainees will be responsible for paying for their accommodation during the four week training period.

On successful completion of the training course, the trainee, now an intern teacher will be assigned classes and will take up full-time employment as a Language Link teacher. As a full-time employee, the intern teacher will receive both a monthly salary and a full benefit package.

Salary and Benefits: In addition to a salary and company paid income taxes, Language Link offers its teacher-interns company-paid teacher training course, free accommodation, travel allowance, paid holiday, sick time, provision of medical services, full visa support and as importantly, on-going academic support.
